


The Nava family originated from the Colonial Felipe Angeles Valparaiso Zacatecas Mexico, where the Nava family was raised. The Nava’s grew up learning the family tradition of cooking from his parents, as they learned from theirs. They learned to prepare the food that was passed down to them from the city of Valparaiso Zac, where they used the freshest vegetables they’d grown themselves. This style of cooking was their heritage and what makes their food stand out from the rest. Steve C. Nava with daughter Erica and wife Maria del Refugio using the family recipes today as they were used 50 to 60 years ago. Mr. Nava and his family moved from Mexico to San Jose California in 1975. In 1993, Mr. Nava and his family decided to open up the restaurant doors of Taco Grande and the family now runs three locations in the Fresno / Clovis area, at: 151 W. Bullard #101, 7357 N. Blackstone & 455 S. Clovis Ave.
